Why buy two globes when you can buy this unique dual functioning globe? The Earth and Constellation Globe by Brainstorm has a day/night- time view and is in fact two globes in one.
In daylight the 22.8cm diameter globe shows political boundaries, oceans, equator, longitude and latitude lines, country names, capital cities and other major cities for each country in the world.
By night the illuminated star map shows constellations with their common names. An advanced light sensor automatically turns on the LED illumination whenever the room darkens.
The Earth and Constellation Globe has an automatic light sensor so when the globe is turned on and the surrounding area is dark the globe glow's showing the star constellations. There is also a handy override switch which allows you to turn off the night-time view and thus conserve battery power.
You can also purchase an electrical adaptor separately (not included) that you can plug into the globe and power it off mains electrics. Each box contains a specification to enable you to purchase such an adaptor.
The Earth and Constellation Globe is a great learning tool for geographers and astronomers but also a great feature for any bedroom,living room or study. A truly unique globe.

Christmas Present

Constellation globe
I have purchased the 2 in 1 Earth and Constellations Globe as a Christmas present for my brother-in-law. I know that it is designed as more of a children's toy, however I think this is excellent for them to have on display in their unit. I love the fact that it shows all the constellations as well as the globe itself. The item was excellent value for money and is both educational and entertaining for adults and children alike.

Bought the 2 in 1 Earth and Constellations Globe as a Christmas present for my grandson. I was pleased that this was robust yet not too heavy for him to handle. I am sure he will be excited to find all the places he has heard of on it and will be doubly pleased to see the star constellations at night. I am very happy with this product.

2 in 1 constellation globe
This 2 in 1 Earth and Constellations Globe is absolutely lovely. It catches a child's eye immediately and our grandson who is 7 is really fascinated and he can find on the globe where all the world cup football teams are. Since he got this it seems to have opened up his interest in Geography in lots of different ways. You can also get a mains adapter to fit so as not to keep using batteries. It works out brilliant when you leave it on at night for when the stars show through. I would recommend this globe 100%.

2 in 1 Earth & Constellations Globe
The 2 in 1 Earth and Constellations Globe is fanatastic. I bought the globe for my 7 year old grandson. We had great fun checking on the positions and sizes of countries in the world. Then we started to check out the Constellations. We both enjoyed the Constellations becoming clearer and clearer as the evening grew darker.

Excellent
I bought the 2 in 1 Globe for my son's 7th birthday and he loves it! He's always going on about countries and where they are and now he can show me himself. The stars option is an added bonus. He has already started picking out the key stars and constellations and asking where they are in the night sky. Excellent purchase and I recommend to anyone. It's ust a shame it doesn't come with a power lead in the box. Luckily I have a spare that fits from an old night light.
