This item is amazing for catching spiders. I am petrified of them but have been able to use this to catch spiders. I have tried many other products but this is the ultimate spider catcher. It has a long handle making it easy to reach everywhere without having to get near the intended victim! It doesn't harm the spider so you can take it into the harden to release it. The spider can't move in the fibers used to trap it so it is an absolute lifesaver of a product and I would recommend it for anyone, not just arachnophobes!

Whilst I personally do not have an aversion to catching spiders and taking them outside, I bought this in case people come around to my place and *do* have such a phobia or aversion, and I have to say I'm really impressed with it ! It's long enough for you to be able to feel like you are sufficiently distanced from your prey so as to not be put at risk, if you're the squeamish type, and the bristles are firm and robust, so you should find they hold your little arachnid buddy firmly, and ***hopefully*** don't do him any harm. The device couldn't be simpler to operate - it has a gun-grip with a trigger, so you just squeeze the trigger to open the bristles, approach, GENTLY release the trigger, and ensnare your target, then walk him outside, and pull the trigger again to release him back into the wilds ! One word of advice ? Keep these for catching spiders. I got so excited when I opened mine that I ran around the house trying to catch other objects like peanuts, chads, paperclips, and I've knocked so many things over in my mad delight that I think the spiders have run off in terror !! Finally, for those of you that would like a bit of practice to get your feet wet as it were, the catcher comes with a black plastic spider for you to sneak up on, so you can't go wrong really.

Softly softly catchy spider!

Have used this very successfully and managed to relocate several scary hairy friends without worrying about trapping their legs or having to run for cover because they've evaded capture. It's worked in corners and ceilings and the length is just right. Instead of running away now, other family members rush to use the spider-catcher! Great!
