Despite its rather confusing title, the Fat Bird is in fact an ingenious way to get rid of all that horrible fat you end up with when you're cooking. It also benefits your local wildlife, too. When you're cooking something with a lot of excess fat bubbling away in the pan, simply tip it into this hilarious egg cup-style container, empty the provided bird seed in there as well, stick some string in there and put the whole thing in the fridge. After it has set, you'll have a perfect fat cake for the birds in your garden to munch on.
Hang it from a nearby branch or other suitable vantage point and watch all the local birds come and feast on all the yummy fat and bird bits, and then do it all again with some more bird seed and fat while they polish it off. Smaller than I thought
I thought this was quite big but when it arrived, its actually quite small (fits in your hand). Otherwise great product and makes sense that its small as the birds wouldn't want it too big

Fat Bird Cake Making Kit
Great little item for a bird lover who also likes to cook. Shame you can't pick which colour you get as I ended up with pink and the person I bought this for doesn't like pink! But I think the item itself will be enjoyed. Great little stocking filler.

A lovely idea
Bought three as presents, but have made my own fat cakes before so know the advantages for the birds and the excellent way of getting rid of the unwanted fat from the kitchen. I do find that the cakes made in this mould are too big for my fat ball dispenser though, but I don't suppose the birds will complain!

Cute and handy
I bought the Fat Bird Cake Making Kit for my mother-a birdlover- for christmas. For that reason I haven't tried it, but what I received looks like the picture, though maybe a bit smaller than I had expected. It's a cute design, and I imagine it will be easy to use any other birdseeds once the included ones run out (and the same goes for the string). Perfect gift for any other birdlovers as well I think!
