The Sphero SPRK+ Bluetooth Smartphone Robotic Ball has been developed to enhance creativity, invention and exploration of robotics, coding and STEM principles (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through the power of play. More than just a robot, the SPRK+ consists of a clear polycarbonate shell that protects the advanced tech inside the ball, allowing you to see the workings. Powered by the Lightning Lab app, available in the AppStore, Google Play and the Kindle store, students will learn programming skills; take part in activities and share creations with the Sphero community of children, instructors, teachers and parents.
Propelled by an electric motor, the robotic ball can roll at speeds up to 4.5mph whilst displaying its ultra-bright LEDs. Designed to be paired with any Bluetooth-enabled device through the app, the robot can be fully programmed. Simple commands begin with ‘roll’, ‘spin’, ‘flip’, and ‘colour change’ but will soon develop through practice and experience into imaginative adventures.
