Not so much a sponge as a shower toy (why is it there are so many bath toys out there and so few shower ones?). The Sponge Microphone is frankly pretty useless as a sponge (and we're sure you can pick up a boring old sponge for peanuts at your local shop), but as a shower toy it's top! Shower acoustics have long been able to turn any would be crooner into a budding Sinatra, but singing into your shower head just isn't the same (and can also lead to you drowning of course).
The Sponge Microphone is the ideal present for anyone who, whilst quiet and demure when dry, turns into a singing monster the second they step into the shower. The moment it's in your hand, songs that you'd never dream of singing in public, come bubbling to the surface, and you find yourself letting rip in your own mini (and admittedly slightly damp) sound studio.
