Great Gift for Star Wars Fans

What a great little kit! The steel is laser cut and the model is really intricate and very very detailed. It is quite easy to put together (with the help of some long-nose pliers and some tweezers) but it is also challenging enough to make it interesting. The individual parts can be quite fragile and really tiny - so I would NOT recommend this to anyone with big hands or who is generally not good at working with small objects.

Model Build

You will need a steady hand and lots of patience. The metal is ideal for this star wars model. It has parts that are extremely small and why this model will take some time to complete. Be prepared with the right tools to handle such small pieces and take your time and I am sure you will be pleased with the result

Very small

I ordered this as a Christmas present and was very disappointed at the size, it's all flat packed metal, which I expected as you press out the parts to build R2D2, but the package is literally the size of a postcard and I'm going to have to get another present for the person now as it's so tiny it looks like I've spent no money on him. I haven't actually built it yet so I can't review that side of it, but I don't think it's worth it for the money.

Special equipment required

I bought this for my boyfriend as he loves Star Wars. However he was unable to build it as he doesn't have a maquette making bench. Indeed one would need a bench, a grip to hold the pieces in hand and other special instruments. The parts are so small that it is impossible to build without special equipment. Disappointing.

Got this as a present for my boyfriend who loves R2-D2 and he was chuffed with it. I thought it was going to be a bit bigger but for the price you couldn't really ask for better value. Something different and unique for people who love star wars.
