Great little package - easy to add extra games

For the money this is brilliant bargain. As soon as you get it update the firmware, then you can put hundreds of free games on a USB stick and they run directly from the USB stick. Lots of help on the net for finding games and solving certain issues on some downloaded games. We recently found out that by renaming the file name with a _J1 at the end allows the C64mini's joystick to work (if the original game expected the joystick to be on Port 2.). I am not certain of this but I suspect that the 2 x USB ports on the C64mini are dual Port 1. The only slight pain is that you need to use the virtual keyboard to start some downloaded games, but it's a minor point for the size convenience.

I found this mini version of the C64 computer fantastic. I have the original version of this same computer, but loading games can be a bit boring. In this Mini this does not happen. It's quick and easy to choose a game and load it and we can still save progress very easily to continue later. The item arrived well packed, in a thick cardboard box and the original box was still packed in plastic to protect it from scratches.

C64 mini a must have even for the collector!

Being a collector of the original C64 computers I didn’t expect too much from the c64 mini but was pleasantly surprised with the product, from the packaging to the quality of the build. The only criticism I have is with the quality of the joystick movement which could be a little tighter. Being able to save each game and the ability to load additional games on top of the 64 included through USB makes the C64 mini a must have even for the C64 collector.

That's all I can really say. Thank you! This was the machine I used for most of my teenage years and my second computer. This retro mini has made me a very happy 48 year old! My kid, at the age of 13, loves playing on this too. High praise from a teen! Just wished I knew there was a full size version coming at the end of 2018. Guess I'd better keep an eye open for the pre-order for that! Now, where are those old ZZap 64 magazines? I've got some typing to do!
