Bass Reflex Speaker System gives you a deep bass experience from a compact loudspeaker box system. Unlike conventional loudspeaker box systems, the Philips Docking Speaker features a bass pipe which is acoustically aligned to the woofer to optimise low frequency roll-off of the system. This results in a deep, controlled bass with lower levels of distortion. Combined with the responsive woofer, the speaker system delivers an outstanding level of deep bass.
Have a great start to the day by waking up gently thanks to a gradually increasing alarm volume. Normal alarm sounds with a standard volume can be too low to wake you up or so loud that you are rudely awakened. With this Philips dock you can wake up to the sounds of your favourite music, radio station or buzzer alarm. The speaker system also features two alarm times, so you can set one time to wake yourself up and one to wake your partner.
Digital FM radio gives you even more music to enjoy. Tune into your favourite stations, then just press and hold the preset button to memorise the frequency. With the option to store preset radio stations, you can quickly listen to your favourite stations without the need to manually input frequencies every time.
Sleep timer allows you to decide how long you want to listen to your music or a radio station, before falling asleep. You just set a time limit (up to an hour) and choose a CD or radio station to listen to as you fall asleep. The system will play for your chosen duration, then switch to an energy-efficient and silent stand by mode, so you won't have to worry about wasting electricity.
The Dockstudio app is completely free and offers you a range of different features to enjoy on your Philips Speaker System. Listen to thousands of Internet radio stations worldwide, check out your music collection and share what you are listening to with friends on Facebook, or photos of the artist on Flickr. Philips: AS141/05 Docking Speaker Bluetooth Android
I bought the Philips: AS141/05 Docking Speaker Bluetooth Android for my 15 year old daughter who spent hours searching online for a docking station that was suitable for her Android phone. The price is very reasonable indeed and just right for a desirable product that doesn't break the bank! The quality of sound is amazing and easily comparable to other docking stations that are suitable only for iPhones. It is also very nice to look at and fits snuggly into small spaces as it is neither too wide, tall or deep. Obviously its reliability will need testing over time, but so far my daughter and I are extremely happy.

Good item, but little competition in the market place
Fairly good sound quality and this item looks fantastic. The buttons are nice too, not cheap and tacky, very nice feel and placed well. Charges our Samsung Galaxy fine, however can only connect to the music on the Galaxy by bluetooth, therefore the sound quality isn't great, but it is good, and it's a massive drain on the battery, even while it charges. Volume goes loud but not 'party' loud. The antenna for the radio isn't very good so I'll be replacing that somehow. We like the clock and the fact that you can set 2 different alarms and have a choice of buzzer, radio or music on your android to wake you up. 4 out of 5 stars for style and reasonable sound quality. Could be improved with better apps to work between the android and the docking system.

Excellent docking station
I just opened and tested this docking station and I am extremely happy. The set up was really easy and my Samsung Galaxy connected really quickly to it through Bluetooth. so it was playing my favorite music within minutes. The sound is excellent although a bit bass rich but this is easily resolved with my equalizer app which I use when listening to music on my earphones. I have not tried to use to charge my phone but this was no the main reason to buy this item so I am not in a rush to try it. All in all, excellent value for money and excellent sound, I would definitely recommend it.

Docking speaker and Bluetooth for android phone, paired up with my s2 and the sound quality is very good, also the distance is good to on Bluetooth, you can charge your phone too, this dock also has radio, its a good looking dock for android phone.
