Originating from Baltistan in Northern Pakistan, the cooking vessel has given its name to the popular curry dish and is also known as a Karahi. Handcrafted from premium cast iron for exceptional durability and versatility, the dish is suitable for stir-frying, hob simmering, gratins and slow cooking. Safe for use on all hob types (made easier by its flat base) and is grill and oven safe.
Its cast iron construction offers even heat distribution at low to medium cooking temperatures, whilst retaining heat effectively to keep food warmer for longer. The 24cm diameter serves a portion size for between four to five people. An easy-to-clean enamel finish enhances its presentation when served at the table. Curries will look and taste better when cooked in this traditional Balti dish.
