We don't normally get too excited about stuff on the box, especially if it smacks of Reality TV (which is palpably oxymoronic). So when Iain Morgan from the show Tycoon said he was going to come in and show us his RC Helicopter, we were like 'we see loads of RC Helicopters, so what?' Well, humble pie is now being eaten. This is a truly excellent helicopter. Not only is it the first to look absolutely gorgeous, but it has three channels (up and down, left and right, forwards and backwards), is beautifully built, and it's still under £50! The controls are blissfully smooth and the rotors are tough and very pliable - so will withstand the inevitable knocks you get from flying a chopper around your house or office. It's stable, highly manoeuvrable, has a stonking 12 minute flying time from a full charge (which is well impressive), full trim control to make your life easier, and charges up from the mains in just 35-40 minutes.
We were expecting rubbish, and he brought us gold. The Salvation 1 is a real dream of a flying machine. Many, many hours will be spent all over the land flying rescue missions, and deservedly so. This rocks.
