Embarking at Helsinki, you'll spend seven days sailing through the tundra, giving you a truly unique view of the wildlife and scenery. Be sure to take along your camera, as you'll never again get to experience the world's most spectacular regions.

Upon your arrival at the pole, you can even join the North Pole Swimming Club, giving you a chance to take a dip in the refreshing waters of the Arctic.

On Board the Ship

On board the Sovietskiy Soyuz, there are a total of 50 first class cabins exclusively for passengers. Each cabin contains its own private amenities including a television, desk, large windows and more. Elsewhere on the vessel, there is a large dining room - which accommodates all passengers in one sitting, library with Polar specialised reading material, lounge for relaxing in the evening or during rough weather, a theatre style auditorium, a full sized basketball court, a gymnasium, a heated pool and luxury sauna.

At almost all times, you can gain access to the bridge of the ship. This will give you an insight into the life of the crew and spectacular views of what lies ahead. Large, open decks are accessible on several levels for when you need to get some air. (MM)
