The Imp Radio
Imagine being able to listen to over 2,500 radio stations from around the world, or tuning into your music library from anywhere in the house without having to lug your computer about; well, that's what the mighty Imp can do.
Just plug the Imp into the mains and switch it on, it will register itself and connect to your existing WiFi network (with WEP encryption, if enabled) to access the internet radio portal. Stations are then uploaded alphabetically, country by country, you simply turn the dial to display the station you want, and press Select to play.
It's technically rather dazzling, but fortunately you don't have to think about it or understand it, the Imp does it all for you. As well as tuning into the world's radio stations, the Imp is also a Media Player. It can unlock your iTunes* or music library from your computer, allowing you to listen to your tracks anywhere in the house. Chose to play by artist, by album, by track or create your own playlists, it's just like having your computer at your fingertips anywhere in the house, but considerably less bulky!
The Imp supports WMA, Real, MP3, AAC (iTunes) and Ogg Vorbis music formats, has 10 preset radio channels, will connect through a line-out port to your Hi-Fi or headphones, and is also an alarm clock - so you can have your entire music collection and thousands of radio stations all by your bed, now how awesome is that?
N.B. A WiFi enabled broadband internet connection is required.

Customer Reviews for The Imp Radio
The Imp Radio
This hits all the buttons. Easy to set up, less than 5 minutes. Nice sound, even better through headphones, and the sort of interface a lot of other manufacturers could learn from.
I no longer have to listen to the World Service through interference, now it's crystal clear.

Soooo much better than DAB. Endless choice of continuous advert free radio (well, a quick self-ad every hour is hardly intrusive). Very easy to use, small footprint, sounds good rather than great, but then it's not hi-fi - but for convenience and ease of use I can't find better.

Excellent! A wonderful product! Extremely neat, brilliant sound quality! VERY easy to use - 10/10. We bought this to enjoy the BBC and having tried it out found we can even get New Zealand radio clear as a bell! -)
