Oberon Watch
You may have felt that, since the advent of mobile phones, MP3's and the like, the good old wristwatch has become rather unnecessary. That was arguably the case until some clever chaps in Tokyo (Tokyans? Tokyo-ians?) turned the whole idea on its head and created a watch that nobody but yourself will understand. Suddenly we want one. A lot. This wicked watch is reassuringly chunky and rather serious looking in shiny black metal (none of the over-large flashy silver of so many other watches out there). All very watch-like until you take a look at the face which comprises of a series of 3 rings with varying sized lights switching randomly on or off which, to the untrained eye looks more like the sort of gadget Dr. Who would have in the Tardis. Yet once you know that the dots on the outer ring are hours, dots on the second ring are single minutes and dots on the inner ring are blocks of 10 minutes, it couldn't be simpler. It even shows the date in a similar way. Mind bogglingly clever.
