This Diner Phone lets you pretend that you've been transported to a bygone age when women cooked the dinner, TV had about two channels and accountants always wore those weird green visor hats. It's an absolutely beautiful recreation of an old Diner payphone and, while you don't have to drop coins in it to make it work, it's got all the features of an authentic model (but obviously it works just as well as any modern phone).
Mount it on your wall in the kitchen to turn your house into a bustling eatery (you'll need to get some customers and learn how to make Eggs Benedict pretty quick, but it'll be worth it), or have it in the hall to add an air of class - it's great no matter where you put it. There are push buttons instead of the traditional rotary dial, a coin bank for you to stick your loose change in, and even instructions on how to make a call (just for display). American Diner phone
I was so excited when my parcel arrived. The 1950s American diner phone is perfect. It looks absolutely fabulous in my kitchen/diner (aptly named), and everyone comments on how authentic it looks. The only drawback is that the kids just want to make phone calls all night, just so they can put 10p in one of the money slots to hear the chime sound as the money drops through. Great talking piece, looks the part!
